Just For Kids Law work with and for children and young people to hold those with power to account and fight for wider reform. We do this by providing legal representation and advice, strategic litigation, campaigning, and equipping others to work for children’s rights.

Just For Kids Law’s campaigning and advocacy have led to significant legal reforms, including 17-year-olds being treated as children and given appropriate adults at police stations, and removing children from extended COVID-19 custody time limits. Without our intervention, children could have spent an extra two months on remand due to court delays.

As we launch a new strategy, we are seeking an exceptional colleague to co-lead the organisation and further strengthen fundraising and communications capacity. There is significant headroom to grow income from trusts, build a major donor programme with organisational support, and develop wider opportunities for income generation over the long-term, leveraging a strong, unique case for support.

The position will:

  • Share responsibility for leadership of the organisation
  • Develop and implement a new fundraising strategy
  • Lead organisational and fundraising comms
  • Oversee the finance and operations team
  • Consider long-term income diversification

Ideal skills and experience:

  • Ability to contribute to organisational strategy development
  • Creating and delivering successful high-value fundraising programmes
  • Securing five- and six-figure income from trusts and HNWIs
  • Financial and budget management and devising budgeted cases for support
  • Working with boards of trustees
  • Thrive in a small team environment, collaborating effectively with peers and senior stakeholders
