Youth Justice Champion Award winners announced

The winners Youth Justice Champion Awards have been announced at the Youth Justice Legal Centre's Youth Justice Summit.

At the annual Youth Justice Summit of the Youth Justice Legal Centre, a project of Just for Kids Law, awards were presented to two lawyers who have made an outstanding contribution to the practice of youth justice.

The YJLC's 2019 Outstanding Achievement Award was awarded jointly to solicitors Greg Stewart and Melanie Stooks, both of London-based GT Stewart.

YJLC director and barrister Kate Aubrey-Johnson says:

“Greg and Melanie are worth winners of this year's outstanding achievement award. They are true pioneers and kindred spirits. They have each devoted their careers to ensuring young people in the criminal justice system receive the best possible advice and representation. Thanks to their skills and expertise many young people have been able to put troubled times behind them and get on with their lives.”
