Just for Kids Law, the Children’s Rights Alliance for England, and 15 other supporting organisations have submitted our response to the Government's consultation on reform of the Human Rights Act.
We are extremely concerned about the proposals set out in the consultation on reform of the Human Rights Act (HRA) to replace it with a Bill of Rights.
We believe they will significantly weaken respect for children’s human rights and the ability of children to hold the UK Government and public bodies to account where rights have been infringed. We work with some of the most vulnerable children in society and it is crucial that their rights in the HRA are not diluted in any way.
