Jeremy joins JfKL with a particular interest in Local authorities’ duties to clients in detention and the issues that arise out of young people transitioning between services. Jeremy's extensive experience in community care, prison law, public law and civil litigation provides him with a thorough understanding of the criminal justice system.
His work is predominantly claimant-focused, advocating for individuals with vulnerabilities, both in custody and the community He has a strong background in bringing both public and private law claims against the state and public bodies. His practice area focuses particularly on cases supporting children in/leaving care, trafficked individuals, young asylum seekers or refugees.
