She is a specialist in judicial review proceedings, and in recent years has played a key role in high-profile cases related to diverse issues including criminal record retention/disclosure, the holding of young people in police cells, anonymity for young offenders, and the application of the law on joint enterprise.
Jennifer has been a practising barrister since 2006 and is a Youth Justice specialist. She is extremely experienced in representing children and young people in the Crown Court and the Youth Court, with a particular expertise in complex cases involving defendants who require an intermediary or are unfit to plead.
