Fiona  is freelance communications consultant for Just for Kids Law, also working as a legal affairs journalist and consultant for the Legal Education Foundation. She has a long-standing interest in youth justice in its widest sense and has written and campaigned in this field over many years. She worked on the Guardian/London School of Economics ground-breaking research into the 2011 riots and has a masters degree in criminology. As deputy chair of the campaigning group Women in Journalism, Fiona conducted research into press demonisation of young men, ‘Hoodies or Altar boys? What is media stereotyping doing to our British boys?’
